Temporada 8 (Gintama)

Tras unirse a la resistencia contra el bakufu, Gintoki y la banda se esconden, junto con Katsura y sus rebeldes Joui. El Yorozuya no tarda en ser abordado por Nobume Imai y dos miembros del Kiheitai, que le explican que los piratas de Harusame se han vuelto contra el capitán de la séptima división Kamui y su antiguo aliado Takasugi. Los Kiheitai le proponen a Gintoki un trabajo: encontrar a Takasugi, que está desaparecido desde que su barco sufrió una emboscada en una incursión de los Harusame. A bordo de la nave espacial de Sakamoto, los Yorozuya y Katsura se dirigen a Rakuyou, el planeta natal de Kagura, donde se han reunido las distintas facciones y se están produciendo tensiones. Los rencores de larga duración, las luchas políticas internas y el siniestro plan general de los Tendoushuu culminan finalmente en una batalla masiva y decisiva en Rakuyou.
